1. What makes your country attractive to investors?

Italy is rich in traditional and advanced manufacturing sectors. Some untapped business opportunities in the traditional and knowledge-based service sectors and a unique pool of sophisticated consumer and skilled workers completes its attractiveness.

2. What are the economic prospects for your country over the next three to five years?

A much-needed restructuring coupled with a restrictive fiscal stance would provide a start and, hopefully, better development ahead.

3. How do you foresee the financial sector in your country changing?

I expect recent key trends – increasing competition, consolidation and financial innovation – to continue at a steady pace, but with a growing international dimension, which will clearly pose new challenges.

4. What role will your bank play in your country’s future development?

As one of the largest Italian banks, we believe we are in a good position to contribute to Italy’s financial and economic development by increasing efficiency and constantly being at the leading edge of financial innovation.
