1. What makes your country attractive to investors?

The UK has a strong, open and flexible economy. Add in its geography and tradition of welcoming businesses from overseas and you have probably the most vibrant financial centre in the world.

2. What are the economic prospects for your country over the next three to five years?

It is a brave man who places his reputation on an economic forecast! But we expect economic conditions to remain favourable, with GDP growth just under 3% annually and inflation remaining stable.

3. How do you foresee the financial sector in your country changing?

In recent years, UK banks have become stronger and more competitive and this will continue because our customers, employees and shareholders demand it. Three of the top banks in the world (one of which is Barclays) have their roots in the UK.

4. What role will your bank play in your country's future development?

As a leading global bank, Barclays helps provide the financial oil that makes economies work. We create wealth and opportunity and, we hope, financial freedom and security for our customers and clients – not just in the UK but everywhere we operate.
