The Banker’s Bank of the Year Awards 2022

The Banker’s Bank of the Year Awards continue to go from strength to strength, with hundreds of entries submitted from all corners of the world. The institutions that win a coveted Bracken trophy are at the forefront of the global banking industry – we salute you and your achievements. 

Two major trends can be gleaned from the submissions. First, digital transformation is accelerating in every region and continent, with all banks refining their plans with the customer – and employee – experience front and centre. 

The second trend is the embedding of sustainability in financial services. Banks across the globe are stepping up their efforts to provide essential advice and funding for the great transition to net-zero emissions. This is vital not just for the banking industry, but for the planet. 

This year, we made awards in 134 countries. The greatest number of submissions came from Africa, followed by the Americas and Asia-Pacific. Winners from across the world attended this year’s black-tie dinner in London in early December – the first in-person celebration in three years.
