The Banker's top banks in Turkey ranking shows that Turkiye Is Bankasi is the largest bank in the country by Tier 1 capital.

Turkey top five banks

Istanbul-based Turkiye Is Bankasi is the largest bank in Turkey by Tier 1 capital, with $10.4bn of core capital. It is closely followed by Akbank, which has $9.6bn and Turkiye Garanti Bankasi, which has $9.3bn. While profits at these banks have historically been high, the country's lenders are now bracing themselves for the impact of regulatory measures aimed at curbing consumer lending.
