Bank of Africa Madagascar
Alain Lepatre Lamontagne, Director General
1. What makes your country attractive to investors?
Investors are free to invest in profitable areas and seize the opportunities resulting from deregulation as well as the state’s withdrawal from all commercial activities. Moreover, Malagasy workers are easily trained.
2. What are the economic prospects for your country over the next five years?
Madagascar will realise its enormous potential (diversity of natural and cultural resources) through sustainable development. The country is seeing rapid growth in tourism, mining, fishing and export processing zones.
3. How do you foresee the financial sector in your country changing?
Competition in the financial sector will increase and, with the implementation of private insurance companies along with commercial banks, new financial services and products will be provided.
4. What role will your bank play in your country’s future development? BOA-Madagascar is an institution that is always at the leading edge. Our branches make our expertise available to national, regional, local firms and individuals through counselling and financing possibilities.
