1. What makes your country attractive to investors? 

Attractive economic and fiscal policies; stability and democratic politics; good governance; raw materials (gold, oil).

 2. What are the economic prospects for your country over the next three to five years? 

Gold exploration and production; oil exploration; and cotton, if prices increase.

 3. How do you foresee the financial sector in your country changing? 

By end-2006, we foresee the number of banks in Mali reaching 12 and government willingness to assist in the clean-up of the financial sector, with a programme financed by the World Bank.

 4. What role will your bank play in your country’s future development? 

The innovation and development of new products; and participating in the financing of productive interests.
