The chief executive of the Financial Conduct Authority has been asked to explain today why the UK regulator has not paused work on its proposals to name companies under its investigation at the beginning, rather than the conclusion, of any investigation.

Yesterday, the UK parliament’s financial services regulation committee wrote to Nikhil Rathi to express its “disappointment” after the FCA failed to directly address concerns raised by the committee last month.
