1. What makes your country attractive to investors?

Burkina Faso is a politically stable country with agriculture as its main potential sector. Mining, livestock breeding, industry and trade companies represent some attractive sectors.

2. What are the economic prospects for your country over the next three to five years?

Food manufacturing, mining, agriculture (cotton, maize, groundnuts, wheat, fruits) and industry sectors must be closely developed, and public works are also important.

3. How do you foresee the financial sector in your country changing?

The financial sector had eight banks in 2005 and will have 11 banks by 2006. The real potential of the country justifies their creation.

4. What role will your bank play in your country’s future development?

The challenge of Ecobank Burkina since it opened is to be at the heart of the development of Africa countries, with new products, the best methods and skilled professionals, to accompany the development of the SME sector.
