As an accomplished painter, Christoph Boschan, CEO of Wiener Börse, or Vienna Stock Exchange, is unique among his peers. He took up the hobby in what he describes as a “cost saving” exercise to fill the empty wall space around his desk. His range is impressive, with both abstract and figurative styles, and is reflective of his direct manner. 

Mr Boschan joined the management board of the Vienna and Prague stock exchange group as CEO in September 2016, and his main focus has been to increase the group’s competitiveness within Europe. In spite of the UK’s departure from the EU, he acknowledges London’s continuing dominance as the main financial hub in the region and often visits the city.
