The world’s first GenAI guidelines for banks

Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) has gone viral since the launch of ChatGPT barely a year ago. Why bother composing a birthday card message for your grandma when a bot will do it? Even banks are getting in on the action (not so much card writing, more code writing). 

Naturally, financial regulators are alarmed at what could go wrong given GenAI sometimes confidently fabricates content, or “hallucinates”, and snubs people of colour (a bit like some people’s grandmas).
