It is not unrealistic to expect fossil fuels to be phased out, but we need to engage with the fossil fuel industry if we are to deliver on the Global Methane Pledge, said EBRD president Odile Renaud-Basso.

She was responding to calls by a group of 50 non-profits and organisations for multilateral development banks, including the World Bank, to shift money out of fossil fuels and into renewables, ahead of the IMF and World Bank's spring meetings taking place this week in Washington, DC.
