Turkish banks report the best-performing stocks in Europe

Turkish lenders held three of the top five spots in a ranking of the best-performing European bank stocks in 2023, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence.

A weak national currency and rising inflation have made Turkish assets more attractive to investors. Meanwhile, the government is moving to a more orthodox monetary policy.
