1. What makes your country attractive to investors?
The long history of political stability, a track record of macroeconomic success, market reforms, including the privatisation programme, and investor-friendly policies.
2. What are the economic prospects for your country over the next three to five years?
The macroeconomic environment is strong with a high GDP growth rate and low inflation. We will see continued advancement in agriculture, mining and tourism.
3. How do you foresee the financial sector in your country changing?
There will be an increase in competition as more banks enter Tanzania, which will lead to lower spreads. We will see more product innovation due to changes in technology and a rapid growth in retail banking.
4. What role will your bank play in your country’s future development?
We will help to develop the financial sector by bringing global practices and products into Tanzania, and support the development of the key agriculture and SME sectors.
