Habubank

Three-digit profit grow in the previous year is a hard act to follow, but Habubank still managed to outperform many of its competitors and achieved an inspiring 70% increase in net profits in 2005.

Furthermore, Habubank has been enlarging its network, developing new products and improving assessment and approval processes. Risk management has been improved thanks also to enhanced cooperation with other credit and financial institutions participating in loans syndications and improved audit of credit activities.

Responding to increased customer demand, the bank opened new branches and transaction centres and launched the Habubank Securities subsidiary. It also engaged in a branding exercise to boost the bank’s image and affirm its customer-orientated culture.

“It is our great honour to be named Vietnam’s Bank of the Year by The Banker,” says chief executive Madame Bui Thi Mai. “This award is a true recognition by the banking society, honouring the professionalism and dedication of Habubank and its employees in the endeavour to provide better-than-expected products and services to their customers.”

“The new title gives us inspiration and confidence to go forward, especially when Vietnam is soon to officially join the World Trade Organization. Habubank is committed to striving to be in the top three most admired banks in Vietnam for its management and performance, working environment, customer-focused culture, creative cooperation and for being flexible in time of change.”
