Banco de Crédito del Perú

BCP has been the leader of the Peruvian financial system for the past 117 years. The group has developed into a universal bank, providing a full range of financial services in Peru and internationally.

Important growth segments of the business continue to be consumer, micro-business, and mortgage loans, along with credit and debit cards, savings, deposits, overdrafts, foreign currency, and derivative products, structured financing, corporate leasing and custody services.

“As the leading bank in Peru for more than 100 years, we believe that the main drivers of our success are our clients and our people,” says CEO Raimundo Morales. “This year, BCP has continued to achieve a remarkable financial performance due to a combination of a strong Peruvian economy and its focus on the highly profitable retail and SME segments. As of June, profits were up by 42% and RoE was 30.9%. During 2007, BCP will focus on accelerating its penetration of the retail market through aggressive investment in infrastructure, both in traditional and new distribution channels, which should allow us to meet the banking requirements of a growing economy. We will keep the focus on the transactional business with corporate accounts and through it, increase our penetration with their related parties.”
