Banco Internacional de Comercio

“The results and performance of Banco International de Comercio last year and in 2006 are in correspondence with the invigorating trend in the national economy, and proof that the bank’s policies are in tune with the needs of the different sectors and the general guidelines implemented in the country,” says chairman Marcos A Díaz.

“In the current year, total assets are well above the previous one, and profits before tax are much higher than in the same period of 2005. This is due to the increase in total financings and in forex transactions, as well as to the share participations in several non-banking financial institutions.

“The aim of the bank is to continue responding to the expectations of our corporate customers with respect to the international transactions they perform, and in the financing required to that end, while keeping the excellent record of punctual fulfilment of the obligations that is acknowledged by all Banco Internacional de Comercio counterparts,” he says.

The bank’s institutional clients, national and foreign, receive a complete accounting and documentary service, and national entities enjoy significant volumes of credit facilities. Practically all sectors of the economy benefit from this. The bank’s credit policy is dictated in a collegiate fashion by a credit committee on the basis of strict analysis and control in loan making. The bank works with correspondents in the five continents, the majority of which are prime rated European and US institutions.
