ANZ Royal

Recently established, ANZ Royal has been investing in building its network infrastructure and technology, with the aim of developing Cambodia’s banking market and reaching potential customers new to the financial world.

It has brought on-site and off-site ATMs to the country, replacing the traditional long queues at the branches for the simplest operations, and issuing both US dollars and Cambodian riel. Online banking has also been developed and reached both business and personal customers.

Further technology investment created domestic and international point-of-sale terminals, electronic payroll products and the development of dedicated treasury services to clients.

“At ANZ Royal we pride ourselves on being the best, providing our customers with superior service with an experience that delights,” says chief executive Dean Cleland. “Since our entry into Cambodia in 2005, we have transformed the industry and customer experience deploying more than 40 ATMs, introducing business and personal internet banking, opening seven branches and training over 150 staff. More than 23,000 customers have reacted, bringing their business to us, taking our deposit market share from N18 to N2 [of the ranking] in just 15 months.

“This is only the start, we will continue to innovate, provide the ultimate in convenience solutions and build trust in a market that is recovering from a history of financial instability.”
