Priorbank

Priorbank has built itself into the most profitable bank in the Republic of Belarus, with a 30.7% ROE. Being a full service institution, Priorbank provides services to more that 523,000 customers, including large corporates, SMEs and private individuals. Last year saw a major improvement in the bank’s organisational structure and management, with a dramatic increase in investment opportunities thanks to cross-border agreements with other banks.

“One of the bank’s main businesses is lending,” says chairman Sergey Kostyuchenko. “In this segment we have a 10% local market share and 20% in terms of foreign currency lending. We actively attract the resources of major foreign financial institutions such as the EBRD and IFC, Raiffeisenbank, export credit agencies and foreign banks. Last year, the total volume of financing obtained from international financial institutions reach €324m.”

The bank is firmly focused on increasing the level and quality of its banking services to take advantage of competitive opportunities in the domestic market. “The support of our customers and shareholders has greatly contributed to the success of our business,” says Mr Kostyuchenko. “Our most profitable areas of business are corporate and retail banking, and we are the leading operator in the local credit card market.”
