Angel Santodomingo, chief financial officer – Santander UK

Santander UK has named Angel Santodomingo as its new chief financial officer (CFO). Mr Santodomingo will join its executive team, reporting to CEO Mike Regnier, and will begin his role in December. 

Mr Santodomingo has nearly 40 years’ experience in financial services and has spent nearly 20 years in various roles at Santander Group. He is currently group head of strategy and chief of staff to the executive chair of Banco Santander, Ana Botín. 

He joined Santander Group in 2005 as head of international developments and asset management and in 2014 served as CFO at Santander Brazil before returning to Spain and his current role in 2023.

Bruno Magnouat, co-head of investment banking – Société Générale

Société Générale has appointed Carl Bassili and Bruno Magnouat as the new co-heads of its investment banking division. Based in Paris, they will report to head of global banking and advisory, Demetrio Salorio, who was promoted to the position in May. 

Mr Bassili, who has previously worked at Rothschild and Santander, joined the French lender in 2014, and was most recently head of its global relationship and strategic advisory services. Mr Magnouat, who has been with the bank for 20 years, was previously global head of its advisory and financing group.

Nathalie Wallace, chief sustainability officer – Edmond de Rothschild

Edmond de Rothschild has appointed Nathalie Wallace as chief sustainability officer. She joins the French-Swiss private bank after a two-year stint at Natixis Investment Management as its global head of sustainable investment. 

Based in Paris, she will oversee the group’s sustainable initiatives, both in asset management and private banking. In addition, she will be tasked with developing the investment house’s strategic ESG focus and furthering its commitment to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Ms Wallace will report to Cynthia Tobiano, deputy CEO of the group, and Christophe Caspar, global CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management.

Sébastien Danloy, global head of sales and relationship management for institutional investors – BNP Paribas Securities Services

BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Sébastien Danloy as global head of sales and relationship management for institutional investors. 

In this new role, Mr Danloy will be responsible for strengthening the firm’s suite of solutions with a focus on developing its client-centric strategy.

After working at BNP Paribas Securities Services between 2001 and 2005, he held several senior roles at Société Générale Securities Services and RBC Investor Services. He was most recently global head of investor services, markets and securities services at HSBC.
