Demir Kyrgyz International Bank

Demir Kyrgyz International Bank has been operating in the banking system of the Kyrgyz Republic since May 1997 and during these eight years it has achieved significant results.

DKIB was founded by a consortium of foreign investors and is today known as one of the most reputable and leading commercial banks of the Kyrgyz Republic, not only due to its assets size and profitability, but also due to superior service, innovative products and reliability. “Last year was a remarkable period for the bank in terms of new investment projects and implementation of innovative banking products and services,” says general manager Ahmet Parmaksiz. “DKIB worked on the expansion of its client base, searched for potential business and financing opportunities and, as a result, achieved significant growth of its assets and profits. In 2004, DKIB became an associate member of Visa International, successfully launched DEMiR Net, an internet banking product, and continued to promote its Demir24 local plastic card and ATM network project, supporting it with the instalment of POS-terminals at various commercial points.” DKIB’s financial and marketing achievements in 2004 encouraged its shareholders, namely Turkish investors, the EBRD and IFC, as well as management, to continue efforts to remain the premier financial institution in the transition economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and play the leading role in developing the banking market.
