Privredna banka Zagreb, part of the Intesa Group, had a successful year where it integrated two acquired banks, Riadria banka and Laguna banka, into its network, introduced an innovative mobile payment product, mPay, and opened 21 new outlets.

Total net profits rose to HRK678m ($112m), a 17.9% increase.“Last year, Privredna banka Zagreb achieved outstanding business results in the three main areas – corporate, retail, and finance group,” says CEO Bozo Prka. “It had a record rate of growth of savings deposits, and maintained a leading position as the most innovative bank in Croatia. Net profit increase was 5.8% amounting to €96m, while ROAE reached 18.6% at the level of the group.”

“On top of financial performance, considerable progress has been made in terms of the increased quality of operations and services offered. PBZ is the market leader in Croatia in electronic distribution channels and retained a prominent role on the capital markets. The results were achieved in an environment marked by strong competition and pressure on interest rates.”
